ABOUT THE ALBUM

CollapseUncollapse: Time in Images, is Sanders's debut as an improvisational lead — and it's an impressive feat. Fully improvised, the album has notable rock influences in the title track and mesmerizing solo performances on ‘Eclipsed’ and ‘Ghost Dance.’ Sanders was joined by Chris Mapp and Andrew Woodhead and searched for spaces that would provide a notable ambiance in the production, especially looking for churches with stone reverb. Sanders insists that the soundcheck can be especially important in a difficult or surprising acoustic space, one that Sanders considers an extra member of the group. Sanders also appears on Unity with Paul Dunmall, Educated Guess alongside Dave Tucker, Pat Thomas and Thurston Moore, and with Rachel Musson on I Went This Way, Shifa - Live in Oslo, and Shifa - Live at Cafe Oto. The album will be available in CD and as a download in September 2023.
